'Share the Love' with Subaru, LMAS, and Kentucky Humane Society

My friend Holly who is in D.C. sent me this link today, I don't know if it's because she thinks I should adopt a dog or if it's because it's a neat campaign, and I should share it. I'm going with the latter, because I'm still mourning Boomer. Anyway, from the Courier-Journal:
Some pet-friendly agencies and an auto company are teaming up to create off-site animal-adoption opportunities during the holidays.
The program is a combined effort of Louisville Metro Animal Services, the Kentucky Humane Society, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Subaru of America. The promotion is presented by Subaru and the local effort is part of a national campaign called “Share the Love.”
On Saturday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. people can get some special pet deals at Neil Huffman Subaru, 4926 Dixie Highway. They will include discounted adoption fees, low-cost licenses, as well as microchip and vaccination services.
The campaign through Jan. 2 also offers car buyers and leasees an opportunity to donate $250 to several charities, including the ASPCA.
In addition, people are encouraged to drop off pet-appropriate gifts at the Dixie Higwhay dealership during the campaign. They will go to the animal-welfare groups. Toys and treats, clearning supplies and other materials needed in caring for the animals are sought.
