Rand Paul misrepresents Kentucky's biggest industry

Well, this is awkward. Paul, as one of Kentucky's representatives to Washington, has asserted that coal is Kentucky's biggest industry. It's not. That would be manufacturing.

Let's see what Kentucky Secretary of State Allison Lundergan Grimes has to say about Kentucky's biggest industry. From the SOS Kid's webpage:

"Today manufacturing provides the largest single share of the state's earnings.
Kentucky ranks 3rd among U.S. states in the number of light vehicles produced with plants in Bowling Green, Georgetown, and Louisville. The Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Escape, Ford Expedition, Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks, Lincoln Navigator, Toyota Camry, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry Hybrid, and Toyota Venza are assembled in plants across Kentucky."

Poor Paul. He'd like to think he represents Kentucky, but this is one example of how he's really representing the coal industry. Also, Judd's from Kentucky. Paul's from Texas. He needs to back up on questioning her residency.
