Louisville activists to Yarmuth: "Speak boldly against cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid'

From an email from Kay Tillow:

'On Wed., Dec. 26, 2012, more than a dozen in Louisville braved the windblown snow and rain to send a message to Congressman John Yarmuth urging him to speak boldly against any cuts to Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid.

The group gathered at the Federal Building at 6th and Chestnut and specifically urged opposition to the chained CPI which would slash Social Security every year so that in 10 years the average retiree would get $500 less per year and in 20 years $1000 less per year.

Please help us to get this message to others and to build this campaign to protect our precious programs that have done so much to lift so many out of poverty and to sustain human dignity. '
